94 December 1934 The Dec. meeting was held with Mrs. Robert Lincoln. Miss Butler read from the second chapter of Luke. Carols were sung by high school girls. The minutes of the October and November meetings were read and approved. Report of special Committee was given by Mrs. Kearney. The council said it would cost $25.00 to change our ordinance. Miss Butler asked to be relieved from serving on the program com. Asked that Mrs. Kearney so serve. Passed. Voted to send notes of sympathy to two sick members, Mrs. Stoaks and Mrs. Humphrey. Mrs. German reported that the barrel had been sent containing 46 quart Jars as follows: 34 fruit, 8 cereals, sugar and rice. five or six members gave 10c each to buy the cereals and sugar. the bill was: $1.08 freight. .50 dray to depot. 1.58 voted to pay $2.08 to Mrs. German. Dues to the union cover the time from Sept. 1, 1933 to Jan. 1, 1934. So therefore the next set of receipts signed by the treasurer's assistants should read: "This dollar pays your membership till September 1935." Voted to have a potluck in August. A poem was recited, and a Christmas story read. Refreshments were served. 23 were present. Adjournment. Ada Park, Secy.
