Mar. 1935-continued (April-below) the consumption of milk in Chicago advanced 212%. Since repeal, the Chicago milk bill has been sixty million dollars less than the amount of milk required for good health. Miss Butler told that there were 1700 young people registered in Des Moines in the University Church of Christ at the Young Peoples' Regional Conference. The Narrow Gate, sleep and dieting, gives real freedom. The boy who goes thru the wide gate, no rules, no laws, cannot win in the race. Announcement was made that Miss Bobzin says it is all right for us to give 1 and 2 dollars in place of 2 and 3. Min. approved May 21, 1935 Ada Park, secy. April 1935 The W.C.T.U. met April 16th with Mrs. William Hamilton. The meeting was opened by singing no. 32, "O Master, Let me walk with Thee". Scripture lesson was read by Mrs. W. J. Stewart, from Luke 24:1-12, and John 14:1-6. Followed by season of prayer, Mrs. Hess, Miss Butler and Mrs. Stewart leading. President then took charge of business. Reading of minutes of last meeting deferred, as secretary was not present. Arrangement was made for market day at Central Market, April 27, appointing Miss Bailey as publicity chairman. I- Ward - Mrs. John Evans, chairman of solicitations II-Ward-Miss Ada Park III-Ward-Mirs. Hess Com. to have charge of market: Mrs. Kearney; Mrs. German; Mrs. John Evans. Mrs. Evans appointed chairman of finances. Mrs. Hamilton secy. Pro tem. Secretary came late, and took notes after this point.
