118 -October 1935- The W.C.T.U. met October 15, 1935 with Mrs. O. W. Park. Our guest from a distance was present; no, she was with us last meeting not this one. The first item on the program was the reading by Miss Bailey, of an article from Time, entitled, "Pick-me-up Let Down," the issue, July 1935. Then the minutes of the September meeting were read and approved. Miss Butler announced that Mrs. Pemberton of Legrande is demonstrating the use of the syllabus, and perhaps could be secured to give a demonstration at the county convention, which will be held Monday, Oct. 28, 1935 in Grinnell, at the high school. It was voted to try to get her to do it. Mrs. German reported that she had sent the barrel to Benedict House. There were 45 quarts. It was not entirely filled. We voted to pay the bill of $1.17 for sending the bill. There were times[?] read by several of the members. Mrs. Richard sent thanks for flowers. Benediction. Adjournment. Ada Park, Secretary. approved in Nov. image-three small newspaper clippings attached down right side of page.
