Oct. 1936 - (continued) of two dozen pearlet "[guinies]", tied with several yards of white party ribbon like a shower bouquet, the longest streamer dangling a pink radiance rose from the garden of Mrs. Robert Lincoln. This bouquet was presented to Mrs. Hodley because it was the first time she had met with me since she returned from her wedding journey. Mrs. Hodley responded with a few words of acceptance, saying she had not expected to receive a bridal bouquet from the union. The business session was adjourned and we gathered together to listen to a programme and "[get]" meeting prepared by Mrs.Mitchell. Twenty children came at four o'clock. Mrs.Hodley made a prayer, very suitable to the occasion, and the youthfulness of the children. Mrs.Earle Kennedy, a guest read an article on the tobacco habit, giving five points and "[illegible]"the children named their fingers and thumb for the five points: 1. A selfish habit 2. An expensive habit 3. A "[illegible]" habit 4. A dangerous habit (causing fires) 5. An unattractive habit. One slogan which seemed to give the children much delight in delivering it, was
