-- January 1937 -- W.C.T.U. met Jan. 19, 1937 at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Robert Lincoln. The meeting was called to order by Rev. Carrie Hadley, the president. Mr. Lincoln read devotionals, and read from the BIble and led in prayer. Miss Lincoln gave a reading. Rev. Charles Rowe made a very interesting talk; some observations of his European trip. He also had many interesting articles from the foreign countries he visited, that he showed. Motion was made to renew subscription to Union Signal for the city library. Motion was seconded and carried. A letter Mrs. Stewart had received was read by Mrs. Hadley. Moved and seconded we continue our Life Live Work--and carried. Funds to come from our Jan. & Feb. contributions, but if there is not enough, it is taken from the treasury. Voted that we give to these three channels of work- Lillian Stevens fund, Frances E. Willard fund, Legislative fund. Moved and seconded a nominating com. of three be appointed to work with the president to get a committee who will do the work. National and State work funds: 25% to National work funds. 75% to State " " Nominating com. 1. Mrs. John Evans. 2. Mrs. Geo. Mitchell. 3. Mrs. Hess. Mrs. Hess and Miss Bailey both want a W.C.T.U. Year Book. Meeting closed with prayer by Mrs. Hadley. Social hour. Mrs. Elsie Kennedy. Secy. pro tem. app. at Feb. mtg.
