144 February 1937 The Feb. meeting was held with Miss Edna Sherman. Mrs. Hadley presided. The minutes of the December and January meetings were read and approved. Mrs. Gregson reported for the com. on National temperance education fund: $267.00 is the quota for Poweshiek Co. The Grinnell Union, on the basis of $4.00 per person, should expect to contribute $260.00 of this amount . Mrs. Gregson asked to have Mrs. George Lincoln on this committee. Moved by Mrs. Evans, and seconded by Miss Sherman that she be asked to serve. Carried. Mrs. Gregson is the Chairman of Organization Committee of the local union as well as of the county union. Voted that we send a card to Miss Bailey. Moved by Miss Sherman and seconded by Mrs. Evans to subscribe for the Union Signal for the president. Carried. Moved by Mrs. Gregson and seconded by Miss. Sherman that we have a bake sale and use proceeds to go into this fund for National work, and have another sale later for usual needs. Carried. Mis. Evans and Mrs. Hadley are willing to see about time and place. Mrs. Stewart and Mrs. Hamilton will solicit by telephone. Miss Sherman will take Park St. Ada Park will take Main & West Street north. Secy. must put notice in paper Thur. & Mon. collection has $1.40. Nine were present. Ada Park. Secy.
