145 March 1937- At the March 1937 meeting held with Mrs. Hess and Mrs. German, 13 members were present. Mrs. Hadley telephoned to the Community Hospital and was told that Miss Jennie Bailey was sinking fast. A season of prayer was held, with expressions of appreciation for Miss Bailey, that no one can take her place, but may God raise up those who will take their own places in the great work. Mrs. Hess reported that she had sent a bouquet to Miss Bailey while she could enjoy it. We voted to pay for this bouquet, and for a bouquet which had been sent to the funeral service held for Mrs. Guin. Also voted to pay for another bouquet if occasion occurred. Mrs. R. Lincoln, supt. in charge of peace essays, reported that Mr. Steinbaugh is willing to have essays written, and is taking the matter up. We offer $3 00 and $2 00. Noted that Mrs. Hadley and Mrs. Stewart go to see Mr. Patterson or Mr. Cranny about getting a film presented in schol. Minutes of former meeting approved. Collection $1 20. Adjourned. Ada Park, Sec. one newspaper clipping in upper left hand corner and three clipping along the bottom of page
