Sept. 21, 1937, the executive committee met at 2 P.M. and selected heads of departments. At 2:30 P.M. the regular meeting of the W.C.T.U. was held. The minutes of the August meeting was read, amended and approved. Nominations were called for to the County Convention to be held at Searboro Wednesday Sept. 22nd, at 10:30. Program and Potluck. Voted to send Mrs. Stewart and Miss Sherman. Address will be by Mrs. Gertrude Walton, State Loyal Temperance Legion secretary. Eight were present. Collection $1 05. Adj. Ada Park-Sec. The W.C.T.U. met Oct. 19, 1937 with Mrs. Murray. 26 members and visitors were present. The meeting was called to order by Mrs. Hadley. Song, "This is My Father's World." Devotions were by Mrs. Stewart who read the First Psalm. Reading: "It Takes a Heap O'Living" by Nellie Lincoln. Report by Edna Sherman. Report-Mrs. Hadley. Members from Searsboro came to the meeting at Mrs. Murrays. Tea was served by the hostess and by members of the Grinnell Union. At the business meeting, Miss Sherman said she had spend $9 46 at the State Convention. The treasurer had given her a check for $7 00. Moved by Mrs. Gregson and seconded by Mrs. Stewart to add $2 46. Carried. Mrs. R. Lincoln gave Miss Sherman a check for $2 46. the expense on the barrel $1 40. Voted to pay this to Mrs. Germann. Adjourned. Ada Park. Sec.
