162 May 1939. June 1939. The WCTU met May 16-1939 with Mrs. Richards. Rev. Haworth told about his Grandmother Murray living at Canton, Ohio, who wore the white ribbon. He told that at Pella, there was a Temperance parade put on by the college and the church. Rev. Haworth gave a fine talk. Min. of previous meeting were approved. Offering was $1 50. Adj. Ada Park. Secy. June 27-1939, the W.C.T.U. met with Mrs. Hadley at her farm home. voted to send $10 00 to the Educational Centinnial fund. Motion made and carried that nominations be made from the floor for the nominating com. Miss Sherman, Mrs. Hamilton and Mrs. Germann will seve as nom. com. Offering $1 00. Adj.
