167 Dec. 1939. The W.C.T.U. met Dec.19, 1939 with Mrs. George Mitchell.Song - Joy to the World. Nellie Lincoln conducted devotions, reading from Luke 2: 8-21; followed by a season of prayer. The time was spent talking about various matters, some work needing to be done. Mrs. Mitchell read the purity pledge. Seven were present, one promising to become a member, Mrs. Harry Sleuker. The home was decorated in Christmas colors. Apples were served. Adjourned. Mrs. W.J. Stewart Sec. Pro tem. W.C.T.U. Enjoys Christmas Program The W.C.T.U. held their December meeting with mrs. W.J. Stewart. After the business meeting and the temperance lesson, a Christmas program of poems and stories was enjoyed.
