185 Sept.1941 our old-time rule of not having eats at our meetings. We will devote all our time to the meeting itself. No hostess may serve eats. Mrs. Fleener said she ha been asked to serve as superintendent of the evangelisitic department of the County W.C.T.U. She will have to tell in her report how many members wear the white ribbon bow or piece. She must make that report cover that point over all twelve meetings. Also if we engage in prayer before leaving our room in the morning. Ada Park. Sec. App. in Oct. Oct. 1941- The WCTU met Oct. 21 with Mrs. Germann and Mrs. Hess. 12 present. Devotions by Mrs. Robert Lincoln. Voted to renew the subscription of the Union Signal and The Young Crusader fro the Library, and also review the Union Signal for the local president. Offering $1 60- Nellie Lincoln Sec. Pro tem [[image-letter attached to lower right side of page. reads as follows: 21 [?] Underwood St. Chevy Chase, Md. October, 16, 1941. My dear Miss Park, We have just received your very kind letter and assure you that we appreciate deeply your kind words. We are heart and soul in sympathy with the good work in which you are so deeply and actively interested. The days certainly look dark now but the right will inevitably triumph.
