1942 Oct. 1942. Nov. 1942. The October meeting was held with Mrs. Barnum. The Secretary was not present, owing to her mother's illness, and apparently has no minutes of meeting to record, other than this clipping. [ada Danic?] - Secy. Nov 17 - 1942 The W.C.T.U. met Nov. 17 with Miss Sherman and Mrs. Thompson. Songs, "Yield Not to Temptation" and "More About Jesus" Miss Sherman led the devotionals, reading from Elijah, followed by a season of prayer. The president referred to the minutes of the last meeting. Miss Sherman stated two books had been given {to | by} the W.C.T.U. {to | by} the Marview? Library. One, "Glimpses of Fifty Year". The others, "The Wet Park [do?]". Miss Sherman reported the kit bag had been made and filled. A letter from the state presdent was read relative to the raising of the National Education Fund., the I hauls Offering, and also this raising of funds for the coming national convention, to be held in our Maines? in 1943. The motion was made, seconded and carries, that the local president, the county treasurer, and the county president,whould work together on the matter. Offering $1.30. Nellie L. Secy. proteur
