216 Feb. 1944 March. Apr. 1944. May. 1944 February (continued) prayermeeting at a church at a certain hour once every week. We must report to her. She must report to Miss Edith Sterling. Moved by Mrs. Sterling Fleener, seconded by Miss Sherman, that we do this. Voted to do this if we can. To pray for the president and all legislators and all in service. Sixteen present. Collection $1.03. Ada Park - Sec. March 21 - 1944. Met with Mrs. Swain. Devotions were by Mrs. O. W. Glassburn. Topic, Alcohol Education. Mrs. McBlain talked about speaking at guernsey to school pupils above 3rd grade. Mrs. McBlain asked, "Can we give talks in every school in the county?" Mrs. Skiles gave the program, speaking on the topic, When to Begin? What may the children learn? Warn. Instruct. Train. Enforce. Mrs. [Reufrow?] talked on the subject, What a Mother Should Know. A Reading Rehearsal was given of a play, "Information Plus." February minutes read + accepted. Edna Sherman said that in the Congregational Church, from 8:30 A.M. to 4 P.M. the northwest rooms of the church are warm. Anyone that wishes may go in and pray. Miss Sherman says she loves to go into the church and pray, and think of all the pious meetings that have been held there. We should go in north door on Broad Street, Pass thru Friendship Hall and Ladies' Parlor, and go into telephone room. We can pray in telephone room, or have a prayermeeting. Minutes of Feb. meeting read + app. Ada Park, Secy. April 18 - 1944. Hostess, Mrs. George Murray. Leader, Mrs. Manson. Topic, Christians Unite for Total Abstinence thru Youth Enlistment. Devotions, not by Mrs. John Evans, but by Mrs. Fleener. Ada Park, absetn in Colorado. May, 16, 1944 - Hostess, Mrs. C. D. Loose. Leader, Mrs. Lela Evans. Devotions by Mrs. Evans. Program by Mrs. Dora Edgington. Ada Park absent in Colorado.
