232 December 1945. Jan. 1946. W. C. T. U. TO MEET TUESDAY AFTERNOON The W. C. T. U. will meet with Mrs. George C. Murray, 1017 Park street on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 18 at 2:30 o'clock. The meeting scheduled for Dec. 18, 1945 was not held because of cold weather and icy side walks. Jan. 1946. The January meeting of WCTU was held Januart 15, 1946 at the home of Mrs. Mary Swain. In the absence of Mrs. Raffety, Nellie Lincoln had the devotionals, reading from Habakkuk 2:12 followed by a period of silent prayer. Topic on Legislative Fund was given by Mrs. Skiles. Home Protection by Nellie Lincoln. Woman of the month by Mrs. Stewart. Mrs. Loose presided over the business session. Minutes of November meeting read and approved. Mrs. Skiles thanked the Union for her subscription to the Union Signal. She reported on the latest LTL meeting, and also read an article on alcoholism. Money was vote for the following funds: Frances Willard, Lillian Stevens, State Legislative Fund, and Light Line. It was decided to take a special offering for these funds at our next meeting. Decided to postpone having the Public Meeting set for January 27 than account of a public meeting to be held Jan. 20. Some discussion held as to whether we wish to hold the meeting at a later date. Mrs. McBlain was appointed to make arrangements with Mr. Walters to come at a later date. Offering $1.36. Meeting closed with prayer by Mrs. Fleener. Nellie Lincoln, Secretary Pro tem. W. C. T. U.
