239 Sept.17, 1946 - First Meeting of the year 1946-1947. The first meeting of the year 1946-1947 was held Sept. 17 with Ada Park. Mrs. Jackson presided. The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read, discussed, amended and accepted. The treasurer made her annual report. Every member had paid her 1945-1946 dues. A new member, Mrs. Geneva Wilson, 917 Center Street, has paid her dollar for the year 1946-1947, her membership beginning September 1946. Mrs. Allen asks that each vice-president tell the S. S. superintendent of the junior department of the S. S. of her church each month, that the L.T.L. meets that week, and ask her to announce to the children of the Junior department when and where the meeting of the L.T.L. is to be held. The L.T.L. meets the second Thursday of the month, right after 4 P.M. We voted to pay any bills that Mrs. Allen incurs for the L.T.L. We reminded Mrs. Allen that we voted to pay up to 50¢ for treats any time that the church where the meeting is held does not provide eats. The following were elected as officers for 1946-7: Pres. Mrs. W. R. Hicks Vice Presidents, Mrs. Nina McCargar, Mrs. Ralph Allen, Mrs. W. J. Stewart, Mrs. John Evans, Mrs. Ed Bohstedt, Sr. Mrs. James Long, Mrs. Hannah Morgan, Secretary, Ada Park, Treas. Nellie Lincoln. Voted that Mrs. McBlain serve as chairman of the program com. with power to chose her com. members. She chose Mrs. Gregson and Mrs. Stewart in addition to former members of program com. Ada Park and Edna Sherman. Mrs. Jackson agreed to notify Mrs. Hicks of her election, and ask her to come to the meeting of the program committee, to be held at 2:30 Thursday Sept. 19th, at the home of Mrs. Gregson. It was the sentiment of the meeting that when the programs were ready, we ask Miss Hatcher to have the H.S. class type them. They do that as a lesson. For min. of Oct. 1946, turn 5 pages. Ada Park, Secy.
