TUESDAY Mrs. Mary Swain, 706 Fifth avenue, will be hostess to the W.C.T.U. Tuesday afternoon, July 15, at 2:30 o'clock. Mrs. Emma Parmenter of Gilman, who attended the World's International W.C.T.U. convention in New Jersey recently, will speak. Refreshments will be served. <clipping> Thursday, August 14, 1947 Society Notes W.C.T.U. WILL MEET WITH L.T.L GROUP The August meeting of the W.C.T.U. will be held in Merrill park Wednesday, Aug. 20, at 2:30 o'clock with Mrs. Allen and the L.T.L in charge of the devotions and program. A picnic supper will follow the meeting at which the L.T.L.'s will be the guests of the W.C.T.U. ladies. <clipping> 1947 WOMEN'S CHRISTIAN TEMPERANCE UNION MET The Women's Christian Temperance Union met Tuesday at the Stewart library, Mrs. A. W. McBlain, vice-president, presiding. Plans were made for family night, the third Tuesday in October, for a potluck picnic at 6:30 p.m. for members and their families, followed by a program. <clipping> Monday, August 18, 1947 Society Notes W.C.T.U. WILL MEET WITH TEMPERANCE LEGION The August meeting of the W.C.T.U will be held in Merrill park at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday jointing with the L.T.L. A picnic supper with follow the meeting at which the L.T.L.'s will be the guests of the W.C.T.U. ladies. <clipping> W.C.T.U. CHANGES ITS MEETING DATE The W.C.T.U. has changed the date of their October meeting from Tuesday to Wednesday. The Family Night meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 22, at the home of Rev. and Mrs. A. W. McBlain, 1008 West street. Potluck supper at 6:30, followed by a program. Sept. 16, 1947- The W.C.T.U. met at the Stewart Library, Mrs. A.W. McBlain, the vice president, presiding. Devotions were a circle of prayers. We voted to have "family night" Tuesday Oct. 21st at 6:30. Mrs. McBlain invited us to meet with her and Mr. McBlain; the invitation was accepted. Voted to have a program committee of 3 who would prepare the program for the year and take responsibility for the carrying out of all the programs so that the president should have no responsibility for the programs except to preside. By written ballot the following three members were elected as program com: Ada Park, chairman, Mrs. Mauson, Mrs. Renfroue. Nellie Lincoln was elected treasurer
