1953 Nov 17 Secretarys repor [sic continued also The Anual [sic] message by the State President Mrs McBlain concluded from The WCTU Study Book The founding Fathers Of America Illustrating the early life of Our U.S.A. Presidents Washington, Jefferson and Adams. Secretary's repor [sic] read and approved. Treasuer [sic] reported $41.00 In the Treasuer [sic]. Also $6.56 was received at the Oct Family nite meeting. Mrs McBlain gave us some of The Recomendations [sic] She thought our WCTU Organization could use, such as To retain members Show Films, Contribute to The Budget Sending to A Missionary. No further business. Meeting closed By giving Pledges to The American Christian and Temperance Flags Also Temperence [sic] Pledge and the W.C.T.U. Benediction. Eva M Pepoon Sect Dec 15 The WCTU meet [sic] at the Home of Mrs Rev Chas Whitley with 13 members present. Mrs McBlain presid... Meeting opened with The Christmas Hymn and Prayer by Rev Whitley Mrs Rafferty led devotions using Levi 2.1-20 : 4.[1-14?] Alcoholism. Mrs Skiles [Recieved?] The Union Signal. Mrs. [Sevenberger?] The State Champion. Mrs Edyth Lynch gave an Article on Indians and Temperance. Mrs McBlain gave the Study Book lesson Showing that Abolition of The liquor traffic And Abolition of slavery were fought at the same time, by our National leaders. Other intersting [sic] items were given by various members Mrs Amelia Garrigan was presented as A new member. Meeting closed with The Aaronic Benediction Eva M. Pepoon Sect., 1954 Jan 19? [or 28? or 20?] The T.C.T.U. meet [sic] at the Home of Mrs J S Russell with 17 members present. In the abstance [sic] of The President Mrs McBlain The Vice President Mrs Casand had charge of the meeting. Meeting opened by singing He Keeps Me Singing Devotants [sic?] were given by Amy Jones Useing [sic] [Corn?] 11-1:16 Peter 1:19 and Isiah [sic] 40:9 The Topic Carring [sic] Lite into Darkness.
