1954     June 15 meeting
ACTU meet at the home of Mrs Geo Renaud with 9 members present. Nellie Linclon had charge of the Devoteonals. Reading from Scriptuers John 16:33 Proverbs 15:13 Radiating good Cheer. Following with a Poem It [is and cortly?], also an article on Fannie Crosley A Blind Girl, Mrs Rafferty led, us in prayer Mrs Whitley reviewed the Union Signal giving an Article on Trueblood of Moral and Spirit phase of life also an Article from The National Probition Are Alcoholics Sick People Mrs Martz gave the 12 Rules for Alcohilics from The Book Alcohol and Christian Responsibility Mrs McBlain commented on the [Bryson?] Bill urging members to write to our Congressmen Sectary report read and approved as read Treasurer reported 36.02 also approved as read Mrs McBlain appointed Mr Russell Clint Jones, Mrs [Casand?] Rachel Mikel and Nellie Linclon and Mrs McBlain to assist in furnishing material for a WCTU float of Aug 28 for The Centennial Parade a motion made and carried we stand the expense of the float. A nomenating committee composing of Mrs Skiles, Mrs Foster and Mrs Reanaud meeting closed with the WCTU Benediction Eva M Pepoon Sect
July 2. W.C.T.U. meet at the Home of Mrs Rev Skiles with 7 members present and 4 guests. In the absents of Mrs McBlain The President The Vice President Mrs Casand preseded Meeting opened By singing Stand up For Jesus with Miss Wiley at the piano followed by prayer By Miss Wiley. A Duet by the [illegible] Sisters, Scriptuer reading from Luke 15-3-10 on Inspiration Was green By Mrs. Eve Pepoon Also An Article on President Eisenhauser Adding Under God To The Allegeance To The Flag. Mrs Robert Biller Gave a True Story By Platts, On Missionary work In Africa. Mrs Casand gave an Interesting [illegible] on The Bryson Bill Also On The Theme Of Our W.C.T.U. National Presedent Mrs Hays Mrs Siles The Chairman of The nomenating Committee. Had no new canidates to report on for office duty. So all Old Officers were reelected Mrs McBlain President Mrs Casand Vice President, Nellie Linclon Treasurer Mrs Depon Secretary Meeting Adjourned Eva M Pepoon Sect
