Sept 21 minutes continued Mrs Glattfetter sent $5.00 to our organization Mrs [Clausea?] urged us to send delegates to to Our State Convention Leaflets - Alcohol at the Wheel was distributed to Hi Schools by the State Mrs McBlain is to act as our delegate to the State Convention She is to choose another member to accompany her. Meeting closed with W.C.T.U. Benediction Eva M. Pepoon Sec (clipping) Supper Enjoyed By WCTU Members And Families Tuesday W. C. T. U. members and their families held a very profitable meeting on Tuesday evening, Oct. 19 in the United Presbyterian Church. Following a bountiful co-operative dinner in the dining room, the group gathered in the sanctuary for the program. Rev. Beattie led in a devotional period, followed by talks by the president, Mrs A. W. McBlain, and by Mrs. Rendel Cosand. A White Ribbon Recruit service was conducted by Mrs. Harvey Mikel assisted by Mrs. Chas. Whitely. Mr. Harold Renaud showed his pictures of the Grinnell Centennial Parade, the Fairfield Caravan, and other places of interest. A new member was added to the roll, and Rev. Cosand closed the evening's program with prayer. Nov 16 WCTU meet [sic] at the home of Mrs Sage with 17 members present and on [sic] guest meeting was conducted By the President Mrs. A W McBlain. Mrs Cosand read the 27 Psalm Mrs Whitley led us in prayer Mrs Allen had charge of the lesson [Oregon?] of Intrests [sic] extending our work through your homes and churches By Spiritual life. A quiet time with prayers with Our Lord Mrs Hagenlock An Article what is prayer. Speech contests to be organized in groups from 7-9 A series of articles was given written by Mr Gordon An interesting Skit "A Diagnose" [sic] was rendered by Mrs Ewing and Mrs Skiles An Article By Mrs Sevenberger Who We Are Members of the Christian Womens Temperance Union The program was concluded with a Skit "How to do it" by Mrs Allen and Mrs Tingley, Mrs McBlain [reviewed?] from the Study Book The Fruit of the Vine What is Sin Secretary report read and approved Treasuer [sic] reported a balance of 49.00 Mrs McBlain [reviewed] some of the State Officers recomendations [sic] for 1955. Yearly dues were collected in order to make our organization A Hold Fast Union. Mrs Tingle [sic] received her membership. Meeting closed by giving the Salutes to The American Christian and Temperance Flags The Temperance pledge and the Aaronic Benediction. Eva M Pepoon Secretary
