1933 April 19 WCTU meeting was held on April 19th following the Regional Workshop in the Methodist Church Chapel A Letter of thanks for our gift of $4.00 to the [illegible] fund was read by the President. Another letter regarding the Bible Reading Contest was turned over to Mrs Ralph Allen for Consideration Miss Elaine Reister was received as a New Member and given the White Ribbon Badge A [Navigating?] Committee Compassing of Mrs Harvey Mickel Mrs J E Fister and and Mrs Donald Skiles was appointed to to prepare a slate of Officers for the New Year The Election to be in [illegible] The general opinion of the group seemed to be what the workshop was helpfull and very worth while with 30 in attendance Mrs Beattles gave the closing Prayer Mrs A W McBlain Sec Pro Tem May 17 WCTU meeting was at Mrs Harvey Mickels with present Mrs Burkstedt conducted Devotions using Matthew 18-1-5 to 19-13:15 for Scriptures reading the [Salutes?] was given to the American Christian and Temperance flag. The Temperance Pledge was given in unison Mrs Fuster gave us some Hi lights on the use of Marihuana. Mrs Allen on [illegible] Mrs McBlain rescued from our Study Book. The Fruit of the Vine. The Liquor problem Secretary report read and approved. A group of 4 of our members attended a WCTU meeting at Maleom. Where [illegible] children became White Ribbon recruits and received their White Ribbon Bows Mrs Allen reported on Bible reading A contest was disguised Mrs Corand on Spritual life she distributed Prayer pamphlets to be delivered to shut ins and Res Home Collection $1.89 meeting adjourned with the WCTU Benedictions Eva M [illegible] Sec
