1956 Feb 21 WCTU meet at the home of Mrs. Eugene Foster with 10 members and one guest present. In the Abtence [sic] of the President The Vice President Elois Keister presided. Meeting opened by repeating the pledges to the 3 flags. Mrs [Bohstedt?] had charge of devotionals. Scriptuer [sic] reading Luke 1 - 70 & 76I am the way The truth and The Life Also an article from the Union Signal "Road Markers". What we could do If we were Artists of Christ following by prayer Secretary report read and excepted [sic] as read Elois Keister read a letter from Our Iowa WCTU President, The National Officer Mildred Taylor sent us litatuer [sic] for Jun Aug and Oct. Preperataions [sic] are being made for our WCTU to participate in the program at the W.C.T.U. Institute to be held at Malone Mar 16. A couple of skits are being prepared One for the fore noon and one for the after noon. Elois Keister has a letter from a missionary in Egypt she plans to present on the program. Treasuers [sic] report read and accepted as read. Treasurer report read and excepted [sic] a motion was made and accepted That the Treasurer Nellie Linclon send $13.70 to The lite Line, Legisative, Lillian Stevens And Francis E Willard Funds. A Motion was approved to pay the Secretary Eva M Pepoon $7.28 for cards and supplies for 1955 A mition was approved to send $10.00 To The State Fair Booth Committee A letter was presented By Mrs Foster from Sam [Morris?] at Washington D.C. requesting donations to continue his broadcasting interests In The WCTU work. Mrs Whitely revisited a couple of Chapters from the Study Book The way to Sobriety. Mrs. Sage had charge of the program. She gave a review of the wonderfull [sic] life of Franis E. Willard Mrs Beattie closed our meeting. By prayer Eve M Pepoon Sec. Mar 23 W.C.T.U. meet [sic] in the Home of Mr and Mrs Rev Cosand., with the Vice Prisedent [sic] Elois Keister presiding This Being An Honary [sic] Meeting The Honary [sic] members had charge of The Meeting - Rev Mr Whitley gave a very interesting talk on - Directing The Course of Our lives also The WCTU represents pure purity. Closing with prayer, Rev Cosand two young sons sang a couple of songs Eugen [sic] Foster gave a talk On [Pasific?] facts about Alcohol Rev Beattie "What The Grace of God Can do," also
