July Honorary Meeting Mrs. Edythe L. presided Held at Northside Friends Church. Lead in prayer by Rev. Pohlens of First Friends - Rev. Ephler, minister (emeritus) of Christian Church spoke on "Why it pays not to drink." Meeting closed with benediction. August It was hoped the Unit could have a picnic during this month but did not materialize. Grace L. Foster Sec "September" Sept 15 '59 W.C.T.U. The regular monthly meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Geo Renaud on Tues. Sept 15, there were eleven members present and one guest. 2nd Vice Pres. Mrs. Claude Thompson presided in the absence of Mrs. Adams. Mrs. Parish led devotions, and prayers. salute to flags followed; after business meeting - minutes read and treasurys report. An impromptu program was enjoyed, with members participating. Meeting closed with prayer. by Mrs. McBlain. The next meeting will be Mrs Pepoon, and election of officers will also be held at this meeting, all are urged to attend. Old Business - Nellie Lincoln and Rachel Mikel to look after Posters. New Business. Nomination Com. appointed Mrs Pepoon Chairman - Mrs. McBlain and Mrs Mikel. 60 new programs to be ordered - next meeting Oct 13 - Oct 20 family night. Ordered Book "Really Living - $1.95 New Groups Legislature Spiritual Christian Education Grace L. Foster - Secretary WCTU Holds Monthly Meeting The regular monthly meeting of the WCTU was held at the home of Mrs. George Renaud on Tuesday. Mrs. Claude Thompson presided in the absence of the president, Mrs. Charles Adams. Mrs. Parish led the devotions and the salute to the flags followed. An impromptu program was enjoyed by the group following the business meeting. Mrs. Renaud, Mrs. Eva Pepoon, and Miss Nellie Lincoln participated in the program. The meeting was closed with prayer by Mrs. A.W. McBlain. The next meeting will be with Mrs. Pepoon and election of officers will be held at that time. All members are especially urged to attend.
