353 The may meeting of the W.C.T.U was helf with Mrs Ralph Mattingly May 17, 1960 with 18 member and 3 guests present. Mrs Iva Saville had devotions using matt 28-19-20 and Luke 1-46-49, also a meditation from the union Signal on mother hood. Mrs Ralph Allen was program leader - Topic Temperance and Missions. She emphasized the thot that we can all be Home Missionaries. A bill of 1.48 for cards and postage was presented by Mrs Mattingly. motion made, seconded and carried the bill be allowed. Mrs Pepoon reported for the Legislative com giving each member present a list of our Senators and Representatives to whom we should write with regard to Legislation against Liquor, and Liquor advertizing. Our President brought up the matter of our making calls and taking flowers to sick members, and other shut ins matter of the budget dollar was brought up for discussion It was suggested we send in some money from the Treasury now, and think of ways we might raise some. Motion made, seconded and carried ten dollars be sent in from the Treasury for that purpose. It was suggested a card of congratulations be sent Mrs Epler on the recent Honor bestowed on her. It was decided to take a special offering at our June meeting for the Budget dollar fund. Mrs Mattingly reviewed several chapters from the Study Book, Meeting closed with the Benediction Nellie Lincoln acting Secy. The W.C.T.U. met June 21, 1960 with Eloise Kiester with 12 members present. Following the Pledges devotions were given Scripture from Matt 6, we were led in prayer by Mrs Allen. Roll call - Currant Events. Minutes of the Treasurer. Mrs Allen reported on her work in the Various Vacation Bible Schools using material purchased by the W.C.T.U. Eight schools were visited including the Indian school at Iowa the total number of pupils being 5.50. voted to pay Mrs Allen 3.00 for her expenses Mrs Pepoon reported for the Legislative com reading a report from Mrs Glenn Hayes from the washington office; also letter from Rep George Paul, U.S. Senator Bourke Hickenlooper, and U.S. Rep John Kyl relative to Liquor Advertising, and the use of Liquor on airplanes. Mrs Headland presented a paper she had prepared for use in the church Bible Schools. A committee from the various churches was named to work with her. Eloise Kiester,
