413 *No May 1970 meeting June 16, 1970 Our June W.C.T.U. met in the home of Pres Lela Adams. She read from the Bible: Titus Chapter II, Versus 7 and 8 also Chpt. III Versus 1 through 8. Eloise Keister gave the devotions. One main point she gave is that whether we hold a public office or not we should live as Christ like as possible Next we had our three flag salutes. The secretary's report for April was read and approved. There was no May meeting. A card from Fae Allen was read. She has been the assistant pastor at a church in Charles City, Iowa. She was ordained in Des Moines, Iowa. May 6. For old business Lela told about, the Malcom W.C.T.U. giving us their books and pamphlets. I reported that I had received the big secretary's record book from the former secretary Fae Allen. When we discussed the new business the pres told us to bring our cardboard rulers with the quarters to foot the bill for the world convention in 1971. Pepsi Fund She also read an article from the June Champion that the American Serivcemen Enjoyed the free Pepsi that we have sent them. Nellie and Hazel Lincoln plan to put an item in our local paper about the free Pepsi given these soldiers by our W.C.T.U. and other Unions 18 calls and 31 cards were listed. Two bouquets were given to "two shut-ins." Our W.C.T.U. collected $5.00 more for the Pepsi fund. My report was, 'Concern for National Future" Patriotism is not confined to our ceremony of flag raising but to our consistant working for the principles of our nation. We concluded our meeting by singing Blest be the Tie That Binds and praying our dismissal prayer. Sec. - Carol I. Sammon
