428 Feb. 15, 1972 (3) Our W.C.T.U. met in the home of Rev. and Mrs. Myron Harris. We had our pledges to the American, Christian and Temperance flags The devotions by Carol Sammon were Christ for the World Paul worked preached and prayed 35 years for Jesus. Mr Myron Harris had for our lesson "Liquor Pollution!" The crime rate in the nation is higher, there are more fatal accidents and more man hours of work lost by drinking alcoholic beverages. Trying to fight destruction from drunkard's costs more than we make from the tax on liquors There is $1.81 tax from a $5.00 bottle of liquor from the Jesus Christ is the only remedy to the human race. Our president Eloise Keister said the Francis Willard gave a speech every day for 12 years against the use of alcohol. We should all read the book "In His Steps' What would Jesus do if he walked in our steps? A motion was made and seconded that we send the missionary, Mrs. Ramer the "Union Signal if she so desires.
