Our union voted to give $5.00 at the state meeting at Sioux Center in memory of Sybil Renaud. As a memorial for Sybil, Eloise read First Corinthians:Verse 3 - Grace be unto you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ: Verse 27 - But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty. Mildred Jones read the poem "Friendship". The main thought of this is - Light falls softly - Dreams calling - Love of friends fewer but truer. Carol read the translation of Psalms 23. The Lord is my pace-setter,I shall not rush; He makes me stop and rest for quiet intervals. Eloise concluded our meeting with a prayer. We then had our enjoyable picnic with Nellie and Hazel. We wish more of our members could have been present. Pres - Eloise Keister Sec - Carol S. Sammon
