Others present were Nellie Lincoln, Eloise Keister, Eva Pepoon and myself. Nellie's devotions were having us sing "The Wonderous Story," and Proverbs 31:10-15 verses - A capable woman is far more important than precious jewels. If she has a husband and children she should comfort them. The lesson was by Carol. "Alcoholism and Alcohol." Alcohol is America's greatest drug problem. While drugs have slain their millions - alcohol has slain billions Two legislative letters and 15 cards have been went. We called on 16 people. We gave our three flag salute. The minutes of last meeting were read and approved. Our president asked Nellie Lincoln and Mildred Jones to be on the nominating committee. We are sending our used greeting cards to Mrs. Lillian Dickson of [illegible] Kennedy wrote a fine book about her missionary work. The next meeting will be with Nellie Lincoln at 3:00 PM and then our picnic is later in the afternoon. We have $47.97 in the bank. The state convention is to be held in Des Moines, Iowa, Oct 1-3 at the Highland Christian Church. It is at Sixth Ave and Aurora St. Eloise had our friendship closing prayer Delicious refreshments were served by our hostess, Lela Pres. Eloise Keister Sec. Carol L. Sammon
