W C T U met in the congregational church on June 11th 1918 with 7 members present, meeting (opened?) by singing "My Country tis of Thee" and "(Poet?) of Ages" Our President ask each one present to repeat a verse of scripture followed bypentance prayer. Pres talked of the convention to be held the 24 of July discussed the matter of a suitable place to hold the convention Mrs Stock and Mrs Kearney appointed committee to secure a place for the meeting, Committee on music for convention Miss Buck, committee for entertainment Mrs Woods, Mrs Bailey, Mrs Cornley - Reports given from the member who visited the schools South School Mrs (Sofher?) Mrs Woods (Parkees) - - Miss Bailey Center - - Mrs Kearney Mrs (Sofher?) had the programe but was unable to be with (me?) " What the WCTU means to the community and nation" Mrs Lincoln and Mrs Stocks told of some of the ways in which our organization is helpful in any country Mrs Lincoln read several letters tellingwhat the WTCU is doing for the soldiers Meeting closed by repeating the (????)
