The August 1921 meeting was held at its usual place on the fourteenth of the month. Mrs. Brande being the appointed leader for the devotionals opened the meeting by a song - O Master (illegible) we watch with Thee. Mrs. Brande emphasized the value of upholding that which is right. Every one engaged in the promotion of the general welfare of mankind has nothing to fear if (illegible) is bound to triumph. Satan is the enemy of the (illegible) and is constantly warring against (illegible). This inevitable fact promises every lover of purity, tradition working against the powers of darkness. The leader read a very appropriate scripture Galatians 5 chap. The works of the flesh and the works of the spirit. After the reading the leader offered prayer followed by singing Rock of Ages. This closing the devotional President called for sec report and treas report. Treas reported 31.91 in (illegible). Mrs. Stucks reported the results of sending literature to the Sunday (illegible) Mrs. Kearney's report on essay work was given - one prize given to a HS girl and one to the 8 grade. Mrs. Hays being absent her report was not given. It was made mentioned that 40 worth of donations been given to the Benedict Home. Mrs. Mc(?) being absent no report was given on citizenship by her. Flower mission report was given. Miss Bailey moved we give our support to the law enforcing league. It was seconded and carried. the election of officers was given some time of which Miss Bailey and Alexander were appointed (illegible).
