130 The W.C.L.U meeting was held at Mrs. Robt. Lincoln. June 8, 1922 This special meeting for special work was planned to take the place of the regular monthly meeting. The members met to make bouquets to send to the home for children at Toledo, Ia. Seventy five bouquets were sent besides a box of peonies A large basket of flowers were sent to [lerm?] hospital Meeting called to order by presiden The devotionals were read by Mrs. John Lincoln. The sec. being absent there were'nt any sec. report read. Mrs. Effie. Stocks was secretary for tem. Committees were [appointed?] for the county convention. A dinner for the people was planned also entertainment After some other consideration the meet closed. On July 18th 1922 the W.C.T.U met with Mrs Woods pleasent home on Main St. An unusual large number was present. Mrs. D. C. Phillips led the devotionals. [Aerng?] Work for the Night is coming was sung by the Union. Scripture was read and helpful comments were made by the leader. After which every one joined in singing America, Thee prayers were offered. The president received a letter of appreciation for the flowers sent to shipment school. They were well preserved during some attention and every one advised to be active in this work. The Sunday base ball was denounced
