156 The W.C.T.U. met with Miss Buck on the 17 17 of April 1924 with an attendance of twenty eight. Mrs. Todd had charge of the devotionals. She read. She read a part of the twenty six chapters of Mathew commencing with the thirtieth verse. The thoughts advanced were the conspiracy against Christ. Heaven and earth may pass away but his word will never pass away. Following the reading there were prayers offered. The Song Work for enforcement where you are was sung from the Jubilee song book. Secretary report was read - and approved Disbursements $10 [serial?] service league. $2.00 for expenses of February meeting $.55 for telegram. The reports were given by those present that visited the schools. After the regular business meeting The program was opened with a duet by Mrs. Woodburn and Todd. The topic for April meeting was Don't save Beer and Wine but save America. Prof. Spencer gave an inspiring address on Forward March of the Prohibition Army. He emphasized the importance of making a desperate against these evils and preserving the good work that had been accomplished He closed by making a strong appeal for law enforcements referring to the sacredness of the oath, to secure enforcement assumed by those elected to office. The members presented the hostess with a bunch of roses as a token of appreciation for her faithful service. Meeting closed by repeating the Mizpah
