163 servise held in the presbyterian church on Wednesday morning was reported by Mrs. Effie Stocks. It was discoved that Mrs. Cobb of Tipture was present. She being a member who fifty years ago helped in the first organization. Mrs L.D Carhart of Marion state corresponding secretary and at one time resident of Grinnell leads the devotionals the beautifully emphasized that the prayer of faith turns on the current of power". The crusade hymn and Psalm was sung and read - 146 Chapter. The story of fifty years - was given by our state corresponding secretary Mrs. Carrie N.L. Ballenger Mrs Chaslee delivered a short speech. Twelve children dressed in white were received as white ribbon recruits. Miss Anna Gerden our National and World president was in attendance of this meeting and was presented. The law enforcement song was sung at this session and often repeated during convention. A pageant The story of years by Mrs Bertha Harmagle was given in the junior high school building of recent completion. Hundreds were unable to get in. Thursday morning subscription to the Signal were taken. Mrs Ellsworth Richard of the Farm Bureau spoke of the cooperation of that organization and the W.C.T.U. Mrs. Ida B Wise Smith was appointed delegate to the Worlds WC.T.U. convention to be held in Edinburgh Scotland in June 1925. Delegates from Iowa to the national Jubilee convention to be held in Chicago were selected. Mrs Cole expenses were voted to be paid she being the she being the youngest member of the Grinnell Union. The folling bills were allowed 3.50 for Worlds temperance Sunday literature $1.00 for "Get out the vote fund.
