The local W. C. T. U. met on June 16, 1925 at Mrs. Coles there being about fifty present. After singing the Battle Hymn of the World by Mrs. W J Bryan and the crusade Hymn Mrs. Lincoln read the 121 Psalm, Mrs. Todd and others led in prayer. Our president gave an interesting report of how Flower mission Day was observed at Jasper Co. Home. Flowers and cookies were given and on address by the M. E. Minister, Mrs. Hess reported 147 bouquets sent to state Orphans Home at Toledo. Mrs. Kepler sent a letter of appreciation. Flowers were carried to the community Hospital and the shirts were also. a discussion in regard to the convention resulted in fixing time-June 30, place Grinnell. President appointed two committees Mrs. Griffith and Mrs. J. S. Stoaks Mrs. Stoaks - on dinner, Mrs. German, Cole and Sampson on entertaining. Bill for Homes Mission 3.60 Miss Cole and [illegible] sang a duet. Grace is sufficient for me. Merrill Shelly played two numbers on the violin accompained by Mrs. Todd. Miss Florence Stoaks gave a review of a book on [illegible]. Causes for these social derelects were unemployment seasonal occupation drunkeness and drug addiction. Af a song by Mrs. Mitchell, Miss Addie Lincoln gave reading - The debating society meeting closed by repealing benediction
