more friends and acqaintaines than I have. I shall not let it greive me in the least if I get disappointed. I was unable to send any money to Mr Gould by Stevens as it was not due me until the first of May when I shall send him fifty dollars, & he will wait on me five year for the rest if I wish Mr Stevens will give you this letter & will inform you more particularly of every thing you wish to know than I can, give my love to Rufus & tell him to write me a letter by Mr Stevens as I want to see how he improves in writing.
