obliged to work for a living - I shall ever retain & trust the same affectionate regard for you the same brotherly love if you decline helping me at all - but I shall most assuredly go if life & health are spared me & if I give the last dime I have on earth to land me in California - It is now twelve o'clock at night & I am obliged to be absent tomorrow - so I will close this long rambling ill arranged letter - I have much more to say but will not trouble you more - I will write to Father in the course of the week but shall say nothing to him about my project - Give my love to Eliza - Stewart Frank Mary & Mr Walter - Elizabeth sends her love to all Very truly Yours Henry Eno Please write me as soon as you receive this - I gave a brother in law of mine John Knapp a letter of introduction to you, he was going to Morton & will return early in the spring, I promised before he left to meet him in New York - I have not heard from him since he left - When you write mention whether he called on you - I wish you would let Walt go along with me. H. Eno
