Independence Ia Mch 7.85 My dearest Coz & Best Girl I want to thank you for getting my letter mailed so soon for i get it one day earlier in the week than I ever begin to look for it. it came Wednesday eve but you can bet I was just as glad to get it I have been sick with a cold all the week and dont feel very bright to day so you may over look any short comings in this letter. I feel now as though my pen would be apt to slip and put in a kiss
