I hope she will stay a long time. it is awful lonesome when no body is here. Poor Jen she has my sympathy I assure you. I suppose she most tickeld to death to welcom her mother-in-law back by the way what has become of Grant - still in the tin shop? How is the state of his wounded feelings? I am going to send this letter as usual for I suppose you are back home by this time well Minnie I must close as it is now a late bed time I have read Dickens aloud to Hattie till past ten oclock to night and am writing this after she has gone to bed. So I will close with lots of love to you and love and best wishes for all. Yours Mel
