Your resolution to be an old maid I think is a little premature but it is good to stand by for the present I am afraid though when just the right fellow puts in an appearance you will weaken on your resolve. Speaking of my loosing my heart you know Min that that I have only a part of one in my possession I left quite a chunk of mine in the possession of a relative back in New York so I could not give a good title to the property if any nice girl should get it. I dont think there is any danger of the girls out here trying for such honors. They all know me too well. So you are safe in the possession of what you have got well it is dark and supper time to so I must close with much Love I am yours Mell
