to do. How are they all at Malone? I cant tell for the life of me whether I owe [illegible?] a letter or she me I will have to write some day and find out. You wanted to know what made me alter my opinion of the young lady who was here. Why Min I cant hardly tell only that I had a chance to know her better and there are few friends who will stand a too close acquaintance we find faults that we never dreamed of we all have our faults you know if they are few and small so much the better but if great it takes a good many good qualities to balance up. In order to thouroughly know some peopole we must be brought in close contact with them every day for quite a while and see them in all their moods [illegible?] others we learn easyer I think I know you remarkably well for the chance I had and I I would not be afraid of my good opinion being changed on a closer acquaintance well I am out of paper and will close with much Love Yours Mell I will be [as?] prompt I shall be dissapointed if I dont hear from you by the next Thursday
