Independence Ia May 23.86 My dearest Cousin: I am very sorry to hear that Jen is so sorely afflicted yet there is some thing that strikes me as rather comical about it. I know I would have to laugh at her if I were there. I hope she wont have any trouble in getting over it. I know the measels for one of her age is a serious affair. It is very nice for her that you you can take care of her it must be hard for you. I am not afraid of the measels Yes I am very fond of flowres I will send you a little spray some thing if I can find it. If you would like some pansie seed will send you some. They are very easy to raise Plant them in the shade and they take care of them selves Yours Mel
