7 - The inner satellite of Mars revolves about that planet three times while Mars rotates once. Their motions should have corresponded at the time of separation, and Mars should have accelerated since then because of its cooling. it should rotate in less time than it takes for its satellites revolution. 8 - The satellites should all revolve around the planets in the same general direction. The sixth satellite of Jupiter and the ninth of Saturn revolve in opposite directions. 9 - The law of mechanics. There never is any change in the amount of energy. When computed the amount of energy of the original nebula was not enough to sluff off a ring. If it could have sluffed off one it could not have sluffed off any more rings. There is an established law "that the moment of momentum must remain constant". 10 - If the solar system were converted into a gaseous form spread out according to the law of gases, and had a momentum of the solar system it would not have the required rate of motion for detaching rings from its equator until it had contracted well within the orbit of the innermost planet. 11 - There is no regular progression of the largest planets on the outside and the smallest on the inside, as the last sluffed off of the parent nebula. 12 - Nebula with rings such as this hypothesis calls for have not been found. 13 - The nebula spread over the solar system was very thin. It was supposed to have remained very hot but is contrary to the law of heat which allows for radiation, convection and conduction. 14 - The chemical objection - The earth is supposed to have been very hot. The igneous rocks are some of the oldest of the earth and are mixed with sedimentary rocks and they should all be pegmatites because the earth is supposed to have cooled very slowly. The larger the crystals the more slowly the cooling.
