Blakesburg Ia Mar 14 1880 George- As I have a Leisure Moment thought I would write you. - Well I have rented the Daw Stocker Place to James Dale, I think he is a good Industrious man. I could not rent it for money rent, so he pays 1/3 of the corn husked in the crib 1/3 of other grain threshed in the granery, one half the hay in the stack, trims up the hedge , resets about all the fence. Barns has taken away 1/4 of the fence on North side 40 rods which has to be replaced this spring, on the morning March 1st I was [at?] the house when Daw told me that he now gave me Possession.
