Blakesburg Ia Apl 14 1880 Mr G S Finney Yours of the 1st Inst recd you complain that I did not write that I had recd the $100 sent by you by express. I did write long ago that I had recd it, and that I had paid off the Daw Stocker note 85.26$ and paid your Tax $14.24 I had a good deal of trouble with that Nute Patterson. Dan gave me Possession, but Nute was determid to hold on, and put me to all the trouble he could, he knew I would have to begin, and let the suit go as it would I would have all the costs to pay. Nothing could be made off him, he claimd one half the Manure Pile at the barn, and now going to sell it to Barns,
