in hopes you could be induced to come home, and live a more quiet life. I engaged to day 200 Bu of your corn to be delivered in town @ 26[1/4?] cents, I sold one stack of hay cash 16.00 have two more to sell, when I write you again will make out statement as to rent &c In your letter you did not say a word about how Lewis was that was a terrible accident, we can only hope for his speady recovery. I conclude you boys have made up your minds to remain, and ware out in that God forsaken country rather that live in a Sivalized country, but then as we make our bed so we must lie. Emma has gone to Nebraska to see Annie who is very sick, the girls were all on tip toe to think Frank was coming home about Christmas, as my paper is full I mush stop, we are all in usual good health, (Erne? Ema?] say I would like to see George) From your Father &c S G Finney
