Blakesburg, Ia Sept 10 1882 Mr Geo. S. Finney your letter of the 2nd Inst came to hand just four days after its date, was really glad to hear from you. Chas. Winn & Cox have not returnd yet, are expected next tuesday. Emma & Sammie left last thursday for Neb. I took them to Albia. It was all Pre-arranged he intends teaching school there this winter, we have our threshing done 90 Buryl, 416 oats, from the amount of straw we aught to have had at Least 1500 Bu grain. Henry Wilson mooved off our south place yesterday. I have rented it to Bill Wintermoot, Wests son-in-law. Porter & Deacon Giles
