suppose I send out 18 cows one Car load, they will not be any expence to you. What terms to you propose to take them on? It wont do for you to wait until spring before you buy your cattle. If you should need the money to buy with I think I can get the money any time in Bank for you, and then pay it off first of March, the Int for 60 days would not be much compond with the advantage. recd a letter from Virda Finney few days ago, your GrandMother is very poorly cant help herself, though appetite is good, I sent you Ottumwa papers several times. no clue to the Chris McAlister murder yet, though they are doing all they can to work it up. Public opinion has settler on Ples Anderson & one Parkhurst, no arrest yet. Corn at Albia 45 cents shelled, [illegible] I will buy a carload, winter is very cold with us now, has been 21 degrees blow zero, all well, write soon from your Father &c S G Finney
