Blakesburg Ia Jany 28 1883 Mr G S Finney yours of the 17th Inst duly recd We were all glad te hear from again. We have had very hard winter so far, good sleighing now with 10 Inchs of Snow. I Bought a Car Load of shelled corn (prime 500 Bu for 45 cents, made 15 Loads, Just finished hauling, corn has rased 5 cents in the Last week by the Car Load. Annie & her man Mr Denny & Emma came here last tuesday 23 Inst. he is going out in a few days to buy cattle if he can, he wants [illegible] & [illegible] and wants to buy
