a farming country.? well we have all our hay, Rye, & oats crop all in [stack?], our cattle look well, think I will keep them over winter, and buy 8 head more of threes, then will have 2 card Loads for next sumer feeding. the weather is very warm in day time, and very cool of nights. - they had a big fire in Albia last week the East 1/2 of the south side of squair was all burnt out. some seven busness houses all went down in a night, dont think it was enough to purify the Immoral and dishonest atmosphere, that will be hard to do, but I close all well write soon, from your Father &c S G Finney
