Blakesburg Ia Oct 14 1883 Mr GSFinney The Election came of here last tuesday, Wapello, Monroe, Davis, & Appanoose Countys all went Demo. The Repubs. was scooped out Entirely, Judge Cook was Elected to Congress our Stiles, Ballingall & [Cap?] Canfield Elected to the Legeslature This is my 4th letter to you since I had any word from you. In my last I mentiond to you that I thought of useing your Stocker & Rader Claim & put in 100$ besides to pay off A Dorothy, for Bob Cox & take a Chattle Mortgage on all of Bobs personal Property, and send it out to you to settle with him at the End. of one year, but the horses & other property was not such whin I looked it, as I supposed
