Ottumwa the other day I saw John B [Ennes?] a Lawyer he had been out to Wyoming looking up a Cattle Rangr, he suceeded so he said, and is going into the Cattle Business. we got a letter from Lewis the other day he is working a mine, says his prospect is good for a fortune and will soon have money enough to throw at the birds I think he has been at that for a good while. (I mean birds of Prey) I have but little to write you of interest, all well as usual, write often. from your Father &c SG Finney
